TIP 1: Be flexible with your ideas on feeding – it rarely turns out exactly as you plan. Breast milk is best for babies but can take time and patience to get established. If you are battling, ask for help in getting the latch right. If you need to use formula, don’t get caught up in the guilt.

TIP 2: Allow your little one to lead you and have some control once solids are introduced. Many babies do better eating whole steamed food rather than mush. You control what your baby eats and where she eats but give her control over the amount. This is part of baby-led weaning.
